Our Joomla! extensions are all OpenSource and free of charge. Support is also free of charge. Nevertheless, we do have costs that need to be paid. This is done out of our own pocket. We have had a donation button on our website for some time now, which is actually used to make donations from time to time. The donation progress bar is intended to show how much support we have received and how much is still missing to cover the basic costs, such as hosting and services. The annual costs currently amount to 356€.
Thank you for your support!

Hi Sven
I highly appreciate the new version of your sitemap. The idea to run the sitemap generation as a scheduled task is simply brilliant!
In my opinion, there is one weak point: The email sent does not contain enough information. It should at least contain the site URL, If you run a number of websites with your extension installed and sending emails to the same address, it's not possible to detect the source of the email easily. So please add the URL to the email text!
An even better solution would be to use a specific email template, allowing the user to configure the content of the email to his needs.
BTW: I just tested a PR which adds a history table and a backend option to show that history to the task scheduler. In this example, I forced task executions.
Regards
Rolf

I'm just testing the plugin
plg_task_extensionupdates
by Tobias Zulauf. This is also a Scheduled Task, and it comes with an email template. Might be an example for the next version of your extension.
Yes he does the E-Mail sending on his own with loading the template manually, without depending on that task e-mail.
Thought this would be a overkill for a simple task plugin, but I can consider it.
