Our Joomla! extensions are all OpenSource and free of charge. Support is also free of charge. Nevertheless, we do have costs that need to be paid. This is done out of our own pocket. We have had a donation button on our website for some time now, which is actually used to make donations from time to time. The donation progress bar is intended to show how much support we have received and how much is still missing to cover the basic costs, such as hosting and services. The annual costs currently amount to 420€.
2024: €235.49 out of the €356 target was reached

Hello
That's why I was asking for advice because the site is a calendar site. If I understand correctly, it is not very important, I will keep only one sitemap = DP calendar menu + 2 menus with few updated information
I forgot to say that I had Aimy sitemap but that I deactivated it because it doesn't take into account DP calendar
Thank you for keeping me informed,
Hint: The XML URLs have changed and the XML need to be generated in the backend.

Hello
I just installed the vers 5 RC1 for SchuWeb_Sitemap and RC2 for Dpcalendar
How can you be sure to see that the events are taken into account?
Especially since I see that there are only "no", see image
You have to select the sitemap with the left checkbox and then select one of the available options at "Create XML" at the top toolbar. This sitemap will then be available via a link / URL.
Is there anything to see if the search engines have taken this into account?
In the web server access log files, you may be able to recognize accesses to the sitemap.xml file and the corresponding user agent / crawler that retrieved the file.
Otherwise, Google also has a webmaster account where you can register yourself and your site. Other search engine providers may have something similar.
The default path for a sitemap is this file "sitemap.xml" in the root directory of the website, e.g.
https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml
The new version of the SchuWeb sitemap already takes this into account, so it already stores the sitemap at the correct place.
In addition, you can specify
the sitemaps with path in the robots.txt file
, also in the root directory.
can I put it on a Joomla 5 site?
I don't know if the new version is already compatible with Joomla 5 and works with it. I have also not yet dealt with Joomla 5 in detail.
